Wray Organic (Palm Beach)

We’ve all got that friend who comes home from their US holiday singing the praises of a certain health movement mega mart. All of a sudden we feel ripped off as we plod down the junk-laden supermarket aisles – but that’s only until we’ve discovered Wray Organic.

In 2005, fed up with health stores selling overpriced organic produce wilting on the shelves, health guru Deborah Wray opened her flagship, one-stop, ACO-certified organic grocery shop in Palm Beach. It wasn’t long before locals started swapping their chemical-riddled cleaning products for eco-friendly options, and their droopy veggies for fresh produce in fine fettle. Loyal patrons (including pro surfers like Kelly Slater) drop by for chats about current health concerns, charmed by small store service and hearty organic meals, juices and coffees in the cafe. Vegan, gluten and dairy intolerant customers are well-catered for too.
